Clik here to view.Do you have to be Irish to be lucky? Probably not. But the season of Saint Patrick’s Day is a great example of how you can be creative.
Many artists & clayers struggle with where to get their inspiration. Some draw inspiration from magazines, here on the Sculpey site, other people’s work, books, and so much more. One of my favorite ways to be inspired (especially when it comes to color) are the holidays.
Holidays bring with it their own ideas, themes, colors, and so much more. Let’s look at Saint Patrick’s Day for example. This holiday should bring to mind shades of green, white, gold, & even oranges! Lucky for us, Sculpey Premo! comes in perfect shades straight from the pack for Saint Patrick’s Day: green, wasabi, white, 18k gold, & orange. You don’t have to stop there. Every holiday also has some “classic” symbols that represent them. Easy ideas for St. Patrick’s Day are leprechauns, pots of gold, shamrocks, rainbows, horseshoe, blarney stones, celtic crosses, and many more. There are even words that go along with many holidays, like Luck or Irish for St. Patrick’s Day.
Use the holidays as inspiration for your own designs & ideas. Start your search for holiday project right here on the site. See what ideas you get from the holidays.
QUICK TIP: Remember Spring is just around the corner, and although it’s NOT a holiday, it’s time to get prepared and bring out your best pastel colors!
